The story

Why “Tamarisk.”

A name about a man who planted shade he'd never sit under — and why we keep our face out of the frame.

01The old man and the tree.

A tamarisk is a scrubby desert tree. It grows slow and takes decades to throw real shade — which means the old man who planted one knew he'd be long gone before anyone sat under it. He planted it anyway.

His name was Abraham. Scripture says he planted a tamarisk tree, and there he called on the name of the LORD, the Eternal God (Genesis 21:33). A man, a tree, and a prayer — quiet, unhurried, pointed at a generation he'd never meet.

That's the job. You're not raising kids for tonight; you're planting shade for a version of them you may never see — the man your son becomes, the husband your daughter marries, the faith your grandkids inherit. Slow. Quiet. One small move at a time.

"He must become greater; I must become less."

John 3:30 · NIV
02Why we stay faceless.

There are plenty of guys with podcast voices ready to tell you how to live. This isn't that. We keep our name and face out of it on purpose — because the moment a ministry becomes about a personality, the light starts pointing at the wrong thing.

Faceless is a conviction, not a gimmick. The glory belongs to God. The credit belongs to the One who actually changes a man. Our job is to hand you good light and get out of the way — so what you remember is the truth, your kids, and Jesus. Not us.

03What we believe.

Tamarisk stands on historic, biblical, broadly evangelical Christianity — the core of "mere Christianity" that unites Bible-believing believers across denominations. We major on the majors and point people to Jesus and to a real local church.

i

The Scriptures

The Bible is the inspired, authoritative, trustworthy Word of God — the final rule for faith and life.

ii

God

One God, eternally existing in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

iii

Jesus Christ

Fully God and fully man — His death, bodily resurrection, and coming return. He alone is the way to the Father.

iv

Salvation

By grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone — the free gift of God to all who repent and believe.

v

The Church

The local church is God's ordained community for worship, discipleship, and mission. No media ministry replaces it.

vi

The Family

God designed the family. Strengthening parents to raise children in the Lord is Kingdom work — and our reason to exist.

Every piece we publish passes through this gate: Scripturally true, Christ-centered, church-affirming, honest, and unifying. Faceless does not mean careless.

04Our posture.
He must increase, we must decrease. Faceless by conviction — the glory is God's.
Truth in love. Bold about the Gospel, gracious with people.
A feeder, not a finish line. Every dad we reach gets pointed deeper and toward a church.
Integrity with money. Revenue serves the mission, and a fixed share flows back to the Kingdom.
